Carol Ann Lindsay, 84, of Whitehall, formerly of Greentree and Washington, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Daughter of the late John and Theresa Zentek. Beloved wife of the late Charles N. Lindsay for 62 years; loving mother of Gregory (Debbie) Lindsay, Dave (Beth) Lindsay and Steven (Monica) Lindsay; grandmother of Adam (Amanda) Lindsay, Mark (Kelsey) Lindsay, Lauren, Erica, Leah and Louis Lindsay, Rachel Hall and Gavin Uber; great-grandmother of Madeline Lindsay; sister of Lois (the late Edwin) Hart and the late John “Jack” Zentek (Rosella Carole); also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Carol was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and adoring grandmother. She met and married her soulmate, Charles, in 1960 and the two raised a family. Her greatest joy was seeing her family thrive and was delighted in the accomplishments of her grandchildren. Carol also maintained a very close relationship with her siblings and their families.
Carol was a lover of all games. She kept her mind sharp with crossword puzzles, bridge, cards, and boardgames. Beyond using her mind, Carol loved movies, traveling and cooking. She enjoyed entertaining and was always excited to host the family for the holidays.
No matter what Carol did in life, she did it well.
Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, on Monday, April 15, from 10am until the time of service at 11am. Interment will follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
