Age 81, a longtime resident of Dormont and later Green Tree passed away peacefully, on Friday, April 5, 2024. Son of the late Elsie and Harry W. Graff, Sr. Hal is survived by his brother Leslie J. (Pamela A.) and loving uncle to his “two favorite” (and only) nephew, Dylan and niece, Morgan.
Hal was a 1961 graduate from Dormont High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Geneva College, class of ‘65 and master’s degree from Duquesne University. He taught English for 38 years in the Keystone Oaks School District and spent many years after he retired as a volunteer docent for The Carnegie Museum of Art.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Juniper Village in South Hills for their care and kindness. A special thank you, as well, to the wonderful, compassionate team at Commonwealth Hospice who cared for Hal.
Following Hal’s wishes, interment will be held in Birmingham Cemetery and will be private to the family.
