Patricia J. Schneider

On Friday, February 13, 2026, Patricia passed away peacefully at the age of 87.  She was the devoted daughter of the late Wayne and Sarah (Herald) Gelston; loving mother of Pamela (Peter) Moran and Paul Schneider, Jr., beloved sister of Madeline McMurray, Wayne (Joanne) Gelston, the late Sally Brennan, Kathleen Gelston and Darlene (Peter) Gracey; aunt of Sally (Bill) Rath, Terry Brennan, Deb O’Connor, John (Kim) McMurray, and Jim McMurray.

Patricia was born in Blairsville, PA and moved 13 times before graduating from Schenley High School.  She proudly started her career at U.S. Steel and left to start a family.  Later she worked as an administrative assistant making lifelong friends along the way.

Patricia devoted her life to helping others.  She was a volunteer at the Cancer Guidance Institute, served as a member and President of the Ladies of Charity at Saint Anne Church, and was an associate of the Sisters of Divine Providence.  She was also a blood donor most of her life and encouraged others to donate.

Family and friends will be welcomed at the Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Pittsburgh (Mount Lebanon) on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 4:00-7:00pm.  A Mass of Cristian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Anne Church (St. Paul of the Cross Parish) on Saturday morning, February 21st at 10 o’clock. Interment service in Saint Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe, PA will be Private.
